How to get more assessments done more quickly with SwimDesk

Below are 4 handy features that can help you use SwimDesk more efficiently.

1. Bulk send assessment emails to parents

Rather than sending assessment emails to parents one student at a time, did you know you can send assessment emails in bulk for an entire class?

Below the main skills table within a class, there is a feature to bulk evaluate students.

Just choose the outcome of the assessment (progressed or not progressed) (P OR NP) then click send email.

This will send the correct email template based on the assessment outcome to all parents in the class.

2. Mark all as present

If you are marking attendance in SwimDesk, you can speed up this process by using the "mark all as present" button.

If you have multiple students in the class and they are all in attendance then you can mark them all as present with a single click.

If four out of five are in attendance you, can mark all as present and then change the one student to absent.

3. Move to next class

Moving from one class to another by moving in and out of the class list can become time consuming.

A short cut is available through the next class drop down found at the top of each class.

This drop-down lists all the classes running at the same time.

For example, if you are in a 4 pm class, this list will list all other classes at 4 pm.

The drop-down will default to the next class in the order of that time slot.

Therefore to move to the next class in the sequence you simply need to click go to class to launch directly into the next class rather than going back to the class list page and then selecting the next class.

4. Mark for all skill marking

You can quickly mark skills for multiple students at once using the mark for all feature.

If you click the mark for all tick box as shown below it will open up a panel to mark all students at once.

For example, if you have introduce a skill for all children you can mark them all as introduced with a single move rather than changing each students mark individually.
