SwimDesk School Coordinator User Guide
SwimDesk schools is an online program that helps us plan your school lessons more effectively so we can spend more time teaching and less time allocating children into levels.
It is important that you follow the process outlined below to ensure we can allocate students into the correct class before you start your lessons
Step 1. Log in to your school coordinator login
You should have received an email from SwimDesk that contains your username and password. If you have not received this email, please speak to us at the centre.
Go to the log in URL www.mygreenedesk.com and enter your username and password to log in.
Step 2. Adding students
The next step is to add students into the system so we can then allocate them into the appropriate starting class.
There are two options for this, both outlined below.
Option 1 - Send parents the online enrolment form.
The online enrolment link is included in your welcome email. Alternatively, you can access this via the upload school data section of your menu panel.
The benefit of this option is that parents can complete a short skill questionnaire which helps us determine the ideal starting points for the student. (We review this during the first lesson and we may change a child's starting level based on their observed competence however this helps provide a starting point)
Option 2 - Upload student information.
The second option is to upload your students who will be attending lessons. You can do this via the upload school data section of your login by selecting the upload data option. The only data points require are the child's first and last name, however detalis sycg as grade and DOB are also desirable.
If you are using option 1, it is important that you monitor your enrolments to ensure all parents have completed the form. We recommend checking the enrolment list in your portal at least 4 days before your schools first lessons
All students you have enrolled into the swimming lessons program will be listed on the dashboard of your login. Please use this to check that all students have been enrolled successfully.
Step 3. Allocating students into sessions
The final step in the preparation processes is allocating students into sessions. You may have booked several session times with us, and we need to know which students will be attending at what session times in order to allocate their starting class. Please ignore this if you have only booked one session with us.
To allocate students into the correct sessions, please choose the "add student to session" menu item. This will list all enrolled students on the left and the available session based on your booking on the right. To move students into the correct session, simply check the box next to their name, choose the session on the right and press the transfer arrow button. These are filters for grade which make these allocation process quick and easy.
We recommend that you complete this process well before your first scheduled lesson to give us enough time to correctly plan your classes. (Ideally 3 school days before your first lesson)
