Detailed progression summary-parent portal
GreeneDesk are pleased to announce the release of a fantastic new functionality for their SwimDesk module. This new functionality will provide parents with further clarity about their child’s progress from one assessment to the next.
The previous versions of SwimDesk showed the child’s most recent assessment results however this did not provide clear context about how a child progressed from their last assessment.
Several new aspects have been included to address this area and provide parents with a clearer picture of how their child is progressing.
Changes to the progress report make it easier for parents to immediately see progress. The addition of an achievement date column shows when that skill was last marked whilst the status column provides context on where progression has been made between assessments by using ticks and arrows.
The assessment history section now shows what has changed since the child’s last assessment providing greater context to the parent.
If you hover over each skill in the “changed since last assessment” section, it will show a pop up which shows how the skill was rated in the child’s previous assessment.
Here are some final tips to help you understand these changes.
Key- The green tick shows when a skill has been marked as completely competent.
The yellow up arrow shows when a skill has progressed from one level to another. For example, if a skill was unmarked and was moved to progressing, the yellow arrow would appear on that assessment date to highlight that progression.
Alternatively, if a skill was previously recorded as introduced and moves to progressing, the yellow arrow again would represent the positive progression in that skill.
As soon as a skill is marked as completely competent, it will be marked off with the green tick.
We believe these changes will make it clearer for the parent’s and provide them with greater context about their child’s progress.
