Follow up automation


Follow up automation allows your club to automatically send communications to
members based on certain time frames and events. Follow up automation can be
applied to both email and SMS forms of communication which your club can control
and personalise the content that is sent.


Below are some examples of follow up automation
• 2 day welcome email
• 30 day check in SMS
• 80 day program re-assessment reminder email


Using automated follow up in your retention plan can be powerful because it is
consistent and reliable. Often, when gym staff get busy, the first thing to be put to
one side is follow up and retention tasks. By using some degree of automation in
your follow up process you are ensuring that at the worst case all members are
receiving at least some basic level of follow up.


To set up automated follow up communications go to the settings menu in Fit Desk
and click on the edit action option.


Before setting up your automated actions you will need to set up a template with the
communication you wish to send.


To set up a communication template click on the “add new template” button within
the edit action section.


Within the template section you can create your communication by naming the
template, entering the subject and the body of the message. You can also use
embedde
d data fields to personalise the message such as member name,
appointment types, and facility details. You can even enable your facilities header
and footer so the email comes branded from your facility.

When you are happy with your communication click save and exit to save the
template.
